Well, this is exciting, isn't it? A secret page on our website! Seriously though, for you to be here, it probably means you've been reading my book and enjoying it. That's really good to know. As I said in the book, on this page I've put the three practise gigs I did while working on my dinosaur set, plus the version I did at Hollywood Comedy Club on 23rd June 2023.

The first one was recorded at Richard Dadd's 'Late Night Sweet Shop' in Birmingham city centre on 25th May 2023. It's very rough, as you would expect. I had no idea what I was doing really.

The second version was recorded on 6th June 2023 at Deep Fried Comedy in Moseley. This is a night usually hosted by Eric Rushton. The point of these videos is so that you can see how an act like this develops during the writing and revising process. You can also see how every audience is different and how some jokes that work one time don't the next time!

The third video was recorded at the Holly Bush in Cradley Heath on Thursday 15th June 2023.

An interesting night. You should really try to visit the Holly Bush if you haven't been before, particularly in the winter months when Dave Francis will often smash up a chair to throw on the fire. This performance didn't go very well, but this is just the nature of open mic nights. You just have to have faith that your material is going to go down better in a bigger room.

The last video is my Hollywood Comedy Club performance from Friday 23rd June 2023.

I don't think it went too badly for a fourth gig, which is basically what it is. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading my book, and I hope these videos have given you an idea of how you can develop a set, in not a huge amount of time, and get it to the point where you can perform it in front of an audience and it not go too badly. Still, please don't judge me by this!
